Thank you for supporting your student in the first ever Simply Equal Education SEE Me Read read- a -thon!
Simply Equal Education is a registered non-profit organization working to help young people in the United States understand that they can play an active role in social change, and that they are never too young to make a difference in the world that they live in. The SEE Me Read program is a nationwide reading contest. The program takes place during the summer months. At the end of the summer, students who read will be entered into a raffle to win a Kindle! If your student cannot read yet they can still participate; any time spent listening to reading aloud also counts towards their total minutes. Please help your student record their minutes reading or being read to each day on their reading log. All reading logs must be returned to your student’s Educator at the due date to count as part of the classroom total. There is also an option to raise money by getting pledges. Students can ask their family and friends to pledge a flat rate or donate per hour of reading. The money donated will go towards helping children around the world receive the supplies they need to succeed in school. If you decide to collect donations or have your student receive pledges, all checks can be made out to Simply Equal Education. |
